Educational Tool
Enter the details of two plans and compare their costs side by side. You will see only mathematical differences — the final decision depends on many factors an advisor can help you weigh.
You do not need to fill in every field. Enter only the data you have available and the tool will compare what it can calculate. All fields are optional.
Context
A plan with a lower monthly premium may have a higher deductible, meaning you'll pay more out of pocket before the insurance starts sharing costs. If you use medical services frequently, a plan with a higher premium but lower deductible may result in less total annual spending.
The out-of-pocket maximum is the limit of what you pay per year in cost-sharing (deductible, copays, coinsurance). Once reached, the plan covers 100% of covered services. Your premium does not count toward this limit.
Many factors that affect the cost and quality of coverage do not appear in the Summary of Benefits and Coverage (SBC). An advisor can help you evaluate the full plan — not just the numbers.
